Best Practices¶
Organization Tips¶
- Use descriptive workbook names - Include date, deal name, and purpose (e.g., "ABC CLO 2024 - Q1 Trustee Report")
- Tag workbooks consistently - Use tags for easy filtering and grouping
- Archive old versions - Keep historical workbooks for audit purposes
- Document formulas - Add comments to complex formulas for maintainability
Performance Tips¶
- Limit cross-sheet references - Minimize dependencies between sheets for faster calculations
- Use named ranges - Improves readability and calculation performance
- Avoid circular references - CalcBridge detects but cannot resolve circular dependencies
- Keep file sizes reasonable - Files under 20MB process significantly faster
Security Tips¶
- Use strong passwords - Follow your organization's password policy
- Enable MFA - Multi-factor authentication protects your account
- Review API keys regularly - Rotate keys and revoke unused ones
- Limit sharing - Share workbooks only with users who need access
